 Cape Fear Flyers is a USATF sanctioned, AAU affiliated, non-profit organization that provides children ages 6-18 of all socioeconomic levels a safe, affordable, team-centric environment enabling them to foster and sustain competitive excellence, interest, and participation in track and field, cross country and race-walking while teaching them proper techniques to maximize speed, flexibility, endurance, agility and develop lifelong runners. Through training and competitive events, the athletes gain
experience in teamwork, discipline, and a passion for the sport of running. The past two years haven’t been easy of anyone but running is shown to help with mental health. Running also improves memory and ability to learn. Running outside has other benefits, like lessening feelings of
loneliness and isolation. Running can reduce stress, depression, and anxiety. So we are dedicated to having our athletes work hard in these areas.
Cape Fear Flyers has seen much success with sending athletes to AAU and USTAF State and National
Competitions.
